A Ferris-wheel of 168 meters high to be set up in Nanjing 

      The other day, a reporter learnt form the "1st China Tourism Investment Talks" closed in Ningbo that a unique large Ferris-wheel city of Jiangsu Province will be set up in Nanjing. As informed, after the completion, the Ferris-wheel city named "The star of Jinling" with a total investment of 1.5 billion RMB will become the new landmark building of Nanjing. For the first time in Nanjing, there will be a mall converging with culture, recreation and leisure, hence integrating tourist resources and advancing the competitiveness of Nanjing.

      As introduced by Wang Chenwu, secretary of the Party committee of Nanjing Bureau of Tour, this project named "The star of Jinling¡ªFerris-wheel city" will be invested by Zhejiang Huamen Stock Holding Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 1.5 billion RMB. This city will be formed with a building flock and a tower of 168 meters high. The building flock will include such high-tech amusement items and initiative sight rooms as the Sky Club, Star Hollywood Restaurant, exploration tour in outer space, etc. A large Ferris-wheel will be installed on the tower. Tourists can fully enjoy a breathtaking and exciting experience on it. After the completion, this Ferris-wheel city will become a landmark theme amusement park of Nanjing.

      As informed, according to the overall urban planning of Nanjing, Fuzimiao Area, the riverside of Xuanwu Lake and the New City in Hexi are candidates for this project. As introduced by related director of Zhejiang Huamen Group, the total investment of this project is very huge, but with the fine economic prospect, great potential of amusement market and good opportunity brought by increasing foreign tourists, this project is also a rational investment.

      As estimated in advance, after the completion, this Ferris-wheel city will attract 2 million more foreign and Chinese tourists for Nanjing per year with an increase of 3 billion RMB in tourist income.
